I had quite a lot of fun on this trail. I started looking at Vishnu and that led to Krishna who we all know by now. That led me to find the word Dashavatara. That led me to another interesting site that talked about the ten Avatars an their separate stories. I was especially moved by the Story of Narasimha. The really quick quick version on this an evil ruler told a kid to worship him and when the kid said he was a devoted worshiper of Vishnu only. The king gets granted a boon that makes him hard to kill, even for Gods. Vishnu comes as a part lion/man to fight the king and meet a criteria set by Brahma's Boon. They did a good job at that time.
